Organisms exhibit different courtship behaviors to attract their mates. A courtship display is a set of display behaviors in which an animal attempts to attract a mate and exhibit their desire to copulate. These behaviors often include ritualized movement ("dances"), vocalizations, mechanical sound production, or displays of beauty, strength, or agonistic ability.
Darwin explains that successful reproduction is a key component of natural selection. He tells you that individuals that have certain characteristics are better able to survive and therefore live to reproduce passing on their genes to the next generation.
