Darwin explains that overproduction is a key component of natural selection. He says that there are more individuals in a population that are born than will survive and reproduce. The more offspring an organism has the better the chance of passing on genes to the next generation.
In your journal answer the following questions;
* What did you observe in the video?
* What are some other factors that would prevent the eggs from
developing into fish?
* If this fish species did not produce large amounts of eggs, what could
possibly happen to their species?
* Illustrate how this video clip represents overproduction.
* How will overproduction lead to natural selection?
